Ölandsleden is a 400 km long, signposted cycling trail covering most of Öland.
It leads from north to south and vice versa, but also across the island, which makes it easy to choose a shorter stretch if you wish.
On North and Central Öland the road network is well developed and the cycling trail often follows minor roads with little car traffic. On Southern Öland, there are less roads and the trail often leads along the main roads.
Öland is very rich in beautiful scenery, unique landscapes, sights and activities. No single trail can lead past all of this. To facilitate the access to interesting spots and special places not situated along the Ölandsleden, there are a number of additional "discovery trails". On some stretches there are grazing animals which usually keep their distance, but they can be curious and sociable. Ölandsleden is marked with yellow signs.
